The Stories of Falun Dafa Practitioners

July 20, 2011 marks the 12th anniversary of

the Chinese Communist Party』s (CCP)

persecution towards Falun Dafa practitioners,

which started in 1999.

In the past 12 years, many Falun Dafa practitioners

in China have gone through fire and water.

Facing repression, they have been in despair and pain,

and at the edge of collapse and death,

yet they remained steadfast in their faith

and experienced rebirth after excruciating experiences.

Now they calmly tell their stories.

Here is a July 20th Special Report.

Jin Zhaoyu is originally from Henan Province.

She went to live in Finland in 2008

after she got married.

She has been busy rescuing her mother since then.

Her mother Chen Zhenping is a Falun Dafa practitioner.

Jin and her husband Tommy have met with Finnish politicians,

human rights organizations and the Finnish media

in the past few years, striving to rescue her mother.

For over a decade, Jin acted as a mother to her sister,

who is 9 years her junior.

Jin Zhaoyu: “Since the persecution started, only my sister

and I spent the New Years together almost every year.

On the New Year eve, we ate instant noodles and cried.

Mom was not at home, our house was empty.

Mom was at the detention center,

in the labor camp or in a brainwashing class.

Jin』s sister, who is only 20 years old,

was forced to flee to Thailand

to escape from the harassment of the police.

Lan Lihua from Changchu, Jilin Province

was also tortured by the police at a young age.

She talked about being detained for seven months

after the program about the truth of Falun Dafa

was broadcasted at the Changchu TV station.

Her appearance completely changed

due to enormous amount of mental pressure.

Lan Lihua: “They took me away and

put me into a police vehicle.

Several people brutally beat me. It shocked me.

At that time I was only 23 years old.

I've never seen several men beating one woman.

My whole body shivered and twitched.

Fang Siyi, also from Jinlin,

was a senior Chinese beautician.

Both Fang and Lan went to Finland

under the arrangement of the UN.

In 2010, Fang testified at the

UN Human Rights Conference in Geneva,

about the torture by drugs she experienced in prison,

many people onsite were moved to tears.

Fang Siyi:

“I don』t know what kind of injection it was.

My belly was swollen after they started the injection,

and got bigger and bigger.

Within a week, my belly was like a pregnant woman』s,

or even bigger, it was almost like a transparent ball.

I asked the doctor to let me go home,

and I would come back in good health.

One doctor did not say anything; another one said

that it would be a miracle if I could survive.

I told them that I would survive and be in good health.

Fang recollected that many people

who witnessed this helped her.

Under the pressure, the prison put her on bail for treatment.

Today Fang Siyi is in good health

and proved the miracle she told the doctors.

In the past 12 years, there were many similar stories.

The CCP wanted to transform good people, who believe in

“Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance” into bad ones.

Zeng Zheng was a top student from Beijing University.

She never thought about going abroad before,

and always wanted to serve her country.

After a 4-year detention, she was forced to leave China.

Zeng Zheng: “Once I got in, I first need to squat,

then they would shock me with electrical batons.

Since the 2nd day, we were only given 2 minutes in the morning

for washing, brushing teeth and using the restroom.

Daily schedule was very intense.

You need to recite rules and principles 16 hours a day.

I was on the brink of collapse.

There was no dignity at all.

Each day I struggled not to lose sanity.”

This persecution is continuous and very long.

In the summer of 2011, nearly 2,000 candles

lit the night sky of Washington D.C.,

mourning the Falun Dafa practitioners who lost their lives.

How many more dark nights are there?

No one knows.

Falun Dafa followers only hope to spread their stories.

May justice and conscience be with them.
