A carriage pulled by a robotic horse is just one of the futuristic manifestations at Taiwan's international robot fair.

一輛由機器馬拉的馬車，只是台灣國際機器人展上，表現未來的形式之一。

The fair runs from Tuesday to Friday and exhibitors have come from around the world.

展覽從星期二至星期五，參展商來自世界各地。

Between the exhibition show, competitions, and various workshops, 296 exhibitors showcased their latest robotic technologies, many built to provide entertainment and at-home care.

在展覽、比賽，及各種研討會期間，296個參展商展示了他們最新的機器人技術，很多是為了提供娛樂及居家照顧而發展的。

This stuffed bear can catch a ball flying towards it.

這隻絨毛熊可以接住飛向它的球。

It uses cameras to track the ball's 3D image at high speeds.

它用攝像機以高速追踪球的立體圖像。

[Yu Hung-hsiu, Industrial Technology Research Inst.]:

"It only takes half a second for the ball to reach the robot, and therefore the robot must complete all the calculations and judgements within 0.1 second, this includes a 3D map of the ball's location, a prediction of where the ball might be falling, then the robot is instructed to move to the target location to catch the ball. All of the four actions need to be done within that 0.1 second."

工研院游宏修說：「球到達機器人只要半秒時間，因此機器人必須在0.1秒內完成所有計算及判斷，包含球位置的立體地圖，預測球可能落下的位置，然後機器人會被指示，移動到目標位置接球。所有4個動作必須在0.1秒內完成。」

Another application of advanced hand-eye coordination is an interactive robot that can play tic-tac-toe with people.

另一項先進的眼手協調配合應用，是一個互動的機器人，可以跟人玩井字遊戲。

[Yu Hung-hsiu, Industrial Technology Research Inst.]:

"This demonsrates the hand-eye coordination of the robot, this ability is important to humans, and with this ability, there are a lot more things robots can do, such as serving tea, picking up the newspaper, and lifting heavy items."

工研院游宏修說：「展出眼手協調的機器人，這種能力對人類很重要，擁有這種能力，機器人有更多事可做，如泡茶、收報紙和抬重物。」

The four-day robot fair also showcased robots that dance, clean and play piano.

為期四天的展會，也展示機器人會舞蹈、清潔和彈鋼琴。
