Is China Revisiting Culture Revolution?

China's telecommunication bureau SARFT has recently

ordered all regional TV stations to stop broadcasting

war films, instead broadcast the CCP “Red Shows”.

The authorities advocate singing red songs and

reciting Mao's poems throughout China.

How far is China from another Cultural Revolution?

The Red wave started in Chongqing is getting severe.

China's media reported that SARFT announced

the removal of a series of TV program from national TVs

such as war, criminal cases, time leaping or love films

in May, June and July but instead,

40+ suggested programs in Party-extolled-style

has been provided.

To Chinese citizens, it's a seemingly Culture Revolution

whirlwind in return. “We take it as Farce”, netizens said,

“with a bunch of clowns in Party Red, singing for

the Red, living in a Red life”.

The 10 year Cultural Revolution over 30 years ago

still haunts the Chinese people.

Are they willing to go back to that stage?

Ma Xiaoming(China' prominent media personnel):

Those that suffered through the Cultural Revolution

is still living today, memories afresh.

They will not agree to revisit the horrors.

The victim of Anti-rightist movement Ms Yan Tunfu

said she refuse to revisit that time period.

Yan: No I don't want to. Cultural Revolution stem

from Mao's will for clan reign and CCP's dictatorship.

Hu Jintao, insisted CCP's ruling power is the core value.

Mao's clan reign bears little difference with the latter,

only that the latter is the extension of the former.

Yan also suggested that CCP's promotion of

“Singing Red, Crack Crisis” is against the will

of the people.

Yan: the so-called Singing Red, Crack Crisis is a lie,

and they knew it. For CCP to remain in power,

that's the real reason.

Ma Xiaoming said, those who had been through

a series of CCP movements have been able to judge,

and became less likely to be brainwashed again.

Ma: Time has changed. Though in some ways CCP

might influence people, it's impossible

to return to Mao's age.

Former Xinhua net reporter suggested that

China resembles a pressure cooker without vent,

CCP meant to defuse social conflicts through this

singing of Party song event.

Gao: The current CCP authorities lack the ability

and will to reform, only means to repress.

The facade is a harmonious society,

but the reality is maintaining stability.

They are hungry for another Cultural Revolution,

given the current situation in China, if it did occur,

China will be no place for a State.

Gao Yu believes the only way for China to avoid

a return of Cultural Revolution, CCP needs to release

its powers and accept public scrutiny,

administer State with law, not individuals.

How far is China from another Cultural Revolution?

What will happen if this came true?

Renowned blog writer Yang Hengjun said that

though Chinese people by no means can afford it,

if another Cultural Revolution did occur,

ordinary people would spare no efforts to drag out

those in corruptions and execute them.
